The waterproof Kriega US-40 Rackpack carrying capacity is variable from 28 to 40 litres. Set to 40 litres, the pack is perfect storage for a tent, roll mat, or sleeping bag coupled with a separate tunnel for tent poles making it an excellent moto-camping set-up. Alternatively, roll up both ends to reduce the capacity to 28 litres, ideal for waterproofs and warmer clothing on a shorter ride.
The new long hook straps and hook-back system enable the pack to be mounted directly to a tail rack or other structural parts on the bike. No rack, no problem. As with all US-Drypacks, the US-40 can securely mount across a pillion seat with the subframe loops included.
Hypalon reinforced strap mounts and webbing loops provide robust mounting locations for additional US-Drypacks, OS-Packs or Accessories. Also included is an adjustable shoulder strap for hands-free carrying to and from the bike.

- Mounting on a tail rack:
Pass the 4 long hookstraps through the rack or metal luggage support and attach the hooks of the hookstraps in the mounting loops on the US-40 and click the buckles into the contra buckle of the US-40. Then tighten the hookstrap to the desired tension to secure the bag. - Attachment directly to the saddle:
Attach the 4 subframe loops to the metal subframe under the seat or to another metal supporting part of the bike. Attach the hooks of the hookstraps in the attachment loops on the US-40 and click the buckles into the contra buckle of the US-40. Then tighten the hookstrap to the desired tension to secure the bag. For some engines, the mounting can consist of a combination of these 2 options. - Attachment of other bags on the US-40:
When the US-40 bag is attached to your motorcycle, a US-5, US-10, US-20, US-30, OS-6, OS-12, OS-18 or OS-Bottle can be easily attached. Use the 4 hookstraps that you received with the US or OS bag for this. Simply hook the aluminum hook into the mounting loops on top of the US-40 bag and pull it under tension. Using the OS-Mini Cam straps or OS-Cam straps are many extra items and / or accessories that can be attached to the US-40.
